A prop firm is a company offering prop traders an opportunity to use their skills to trade for them. The company provides traders with capital that they can use to trade with. The prop firm splits the profits with the trader. This means you can trade without putting up front capital. However you must pass a testing phase to obtain the capital and there is a small fee to take that test.
